ブルース・スプリングスティーンのまさに地元ニュージャージー州のジャージー沿岸地方に来ています。
本日（金）からモンマス大学で開催されている「Glory Days: A Bruce Springsteen Symposium」と題されたスプリングスティーンをアカデミックに論ずる学会に参加しています。とは言っても、論文発表もせず、聴いているだけですが。
学者の皆さん以外に、デイヴ・マーシュやクレイグ・ワーナー、ダニエル・ウルフなどの
評論家も参加してますし、ジョー・グルシェキーやグレッチェン・ピータースなどのミュージシャンもパネルに加わります。
明日はＥストリート・バンドのダニー・フェデリッシとヴィニ・ロペスも登場です。
朝から学会で、夜はストーン・ポニーでスプリングスティーン関連アーティストのライヴが遅くまであるので、寝る時間がありません。今日はグルシェキー＆ハウスロッカーズ、
ロペス率いるスティール・ミル・レトロなど。明日はゲアリー・ＵＳ・ボンズ、スージー・タイレルなどが出演します。
今のネット環境がブロードバンド接続でないので、帰国してから写真をアップします。
ＮＹに２泊してからこちらに来たのですが、Joe's Pub でロン・セクスミスを観て、ロンと
ドンにインタヴューする予定だったんですが、バンドのメンバーの一人の書類不備で
入国できず、カナダに足止め。当日にキャンセルになってしまいました。９・11以降、
ブッシュ政権がヴィザ取得を厳しくしていることが関係あるのではないかと推測します。
なお、新作に関しての追加情報ですが、日本盤にはラジオ番組出演時のスタジオ・ライヴが２曲ほど追加される予定です。
あと、ジャクスン・ブラウンの新作の日本盤発売日は１週間延びて、10月26日だそうです。
